| Mike Fox Sr. and his wife, Mary Ellen, opened their Saratoga home for a brunch Sept. 7 to recognize the contributions of Applied Materials Inc. to the children's hospital to be built as the result of a partnership between the Silicon Valley Children's Hospital Foundation, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Kathleen King, a Saratoga councilwoman and Applied Materials employee, has been a driving force for the hospital, and received significant support from her employer, who made her a loaned executive and contributed seed money for the hospital effort. |
