Builder at Heart: Mark De Mattei designed the plans for this Saratoga home, which features a vanishing-edge pool with a beach entrance, mahogany siding, radiant heating and touch panels in every room to control heating, sound, video and an alarm. The San Jose native says he won't build anything he doesn't find appealing. He is being honored with the Medici Medallion for his meticulous work and contributions to the community.
