DeFrank center Everything's Blooming Goodwill
A massive renovation of the Billy DeFrank Lesbian & Gay Community Center on The Alameda has come to a standstill because of a spending freeze at the San Jose Redevelopment Agency.  More Miguel "Mike" Mendoza is demonstrating how to keep a rose bouquet fresh. "Put the stems in a bucket of warm water," he says, "and cut them underneath the water.
