Sheriff's Report

Under the Influence--Jan. 4, 3:50 p.m., on Quito Road. A car was stopped by a deputy after he noticed the driver littering. Upon contact, the deputy observed that both the driver and passenger showed signs of being under the influence of a stimulant. When the suspects were booked into jail, deputies discovered each was in possession of methamphetamines.

Petty Theft--Jan. 2, 1:30 p.m., at Saratoga Woods. A resident contacted a deputy to report that a cement statue was taken from her front porch.

Assault and Battery--Dec. 31, 11:30 p.m., on Black Walnut Court. Two 18-year-olds got into an argument at a New Year's Eve party. The suspect pushed the victim, and the victim then slapped the suspect in the face. Both had been drinking. The deputy took statements from both the suspect and the victim and submitted the report to the district attorney's office for review.

Vandalism--Dec. 31, 8:35 a.m., on Quito Road. A resident reported that sometime during the previous night, his car, which was parked in the driveway, was spray-painted with white paint on the rear bumper, right side door, fenders, hood and windows. There are no suspects.
