    Sheriff's Report

    Residential Burglary--Jan. 6, 3:30 p.m. on Glen Una Drive. Between 3 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 6, the unknown suspect(s) pried open a door to the victim's unfinished home. The suspect(s) took four pieces of audio equipment, worth $2,922 total.

    Identity Theft--Jan. 5, 1:05 p.m. on Saraview Drive. At an unknown date and time, an unknown suspect opened an account using the victim's Social Security number. The suspect charged about $5,900 worth of cell phone service to the account. The victim will contact the sheriff's office if he receives any more information.

    Vandalism (Less Than $400)--Jan. 5, 1:45 a.m. on Horseshoe. The reporting party had a few friends over at his house. They brought uninvited guests. One guest didn't want to leave when the reporting party asked and became argumentative. The guests left after midnight. At about 1:35 a.m., the reporting party was in bed, talking on the phone, when a sandbag full of rocks crashed through his window. The victim recognized the car that left the scene and identified the suspect.

    Exhibition of Speed--Jan. 4, 2:45 p.m. on Prospect Road. The officer saw the suspect leave the parking lot of a business on the south side of Prospect and turn right on Prospect. The suspect accelerated so quickly that his rear tires broke traction with the roadway and spun. They screeched for two to three seconds. The officer cited the suspect and released him at the scene.

    Lost Property--Jan. 4, 9 a.m. on Saraglen Drive. The victim misplaced her $150 cell phone at her residence and couldn't find the phone after two days. She contacted her phone company for a replacement and was told to obtain a police report first.

    Vandalism--Jan. 3, 3 p.m. on Belle Court. Between Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 2 at 9 a.m., unknown suspects toilet-papered the victim's residence and vandalized her convertible. They raised the car cover to expose the rear half of the vehicle and sprayed shaving cream on the side and rear windows. They etched obscenities into the plastic rear window. The reporting party couldn't estimate the damage at the time.
