Bachelor's degree
Margaret Felicia Cory, a Saratoga resident, recently earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southern Oregon State College.
The college is located in Ashland, Ore., 350 miles north of San Francisco.
Singer takes top honors
Danielle Cohen of Saratoga took the grand championship award in the category of Vocal, Theatre Show Tunes for her 16-year-old age group during the California StateTalent Competition at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in May.
She sang "Think of Me" from Phantom of the Opera. Danielle is a student of Lauren Boyle's vocal studio in Saratoga.
Two on dean's list
Daniel Freeman and Steven Sugimura of Saratoga were among 238 students named to the Claremont McKenna College Dean's List for the 1996 spring semester.
Freeman recently graduated from the college as a literature-French major. He is also a graduate of Westmont High School in Campbell. He is the son of Deborah and Douglas Freeman, also of Saratoga.
Sugimara is a science and management major and a graduate of Saratoga High School. He is the son of June and Gene Sugimara, also of Saratoga.
Only students who maintain a B-plus average make the dean's list.
Claremont McKenna College is an independent liberal arts college located in Claremont, Calif.
Dean's list student
Darren Finnecy, son of Gary and Kathy Finnecy of Saratoga, has been named to the George Fox College Dean's List for the spring semester of the 1995-96 academic year.
Finnecy is a junior majoring in sociology/social work.
George Fox College is a four-year Christian liberal arts college located in Newberg, Ore.
