The bride is the daughter of Marge and Dennis Scheffler of Howell, Mich. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, she is currently pursuing a degree in nursing from Regis University in Denver, Colo.

The groom is the son of Connie and the late Robert Kiersted, formerly of Saratoga and now Denver. A graduate of Monta Vista High School and Hillsdale College, he works in real estate investment and development.

The couple honeymooned in Italy and will reside in Denver until June 2004, when they will move to Seattle, Wash.

Baird, Schaller

Jeffrey Schaller and Sydney Baird were married June 7 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

The groom is the son of Roger and Martha Schaller of Saratoga. He is a graduate of Saratoga High School and of Whitworth College in Spokane, Wash., with a degree in psychology.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Forrest and Joy Baird of Spokane, Wash. She is a graduate of Whitworth College with a degree in theater.

The couple was married in a Victorian home in Coeur d'Alene by the Reverend Esther Smith of San Pedro, Calif. Reverend Smith is also the aunt of the bride, and adapted vows from a wedding ceremony performed by the bride's great-grandfather in the late 1800s.

The couple honeymooned in England and Germany, and now resides and works in Southern California.
