Drunk in Public--On Jan. 14 at 10:26 p.m. on Big Basin Way and Fifth Street. An officer responded to a disturbance reported on Big Basin Way caused by an intoxicated woman on the sidewalk. The woman did not know where she was or what day it was. She was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. The officer arrested her.
Drunk in Public--On Jan. 14 at 10:10 a.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and Manor Drive. An anonymous person reported that two people were occupying an encampment behind a building near the railroad tracks. When an officer arrived at the encampment, he found both people intoxicated with bloodshot eyes and staggering gaits. The officer arrested them.
Marijuana--On Jan. 12 at 2:48 a.m. on Highway 85 and Saratoga Avenue. An officer stopped a vehicle and found marijuana and a 16-inch metal, expandable baton in the vehicle. The driver was booked into the main jail.
Petty Theft--On Jan. 10 between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. on Big Basin Way. A person put his PDA in his briefcase while having dinner at a restaurant. When he left the restaurant, he discovered that the PDA was not in the briefcase. He contacted the restaurant manager, who was unable to locate the PDA. The value of the PDA is approximately $300.
Found Bicycle--On Jan. 10 at 4:45 p.m. on Prospect Road and Beauchamps Lane. An anonymous person reported an abandoned bicycle. An officer transported the bicycle to storage.
Grand Theft--Sometime between 5 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 9 on Kilbride Drive. An unknown person stole seven ceramic pots, three cement benches and a cement birdbath from a yard. The value of the stolen property was estimated at $1,450.
Grand Theft--Sometime between 8 a.m. on Dec. 30 and 7 p.m. on Jan. 7 on Sobey Road. A stone statue of a lion was stolen from the front of a driveway of a home while the owner was on vacation. The owner estimated the loss at $700.
Theft by Credit Card--Sometime between midnight on Dec. 24 and midnight on Dec. 30 on Miller Court. While a resident was out of town, mail was stolen from her mailbox. Someone obtained paper checks linked to the person's credit cards from the mail and used the checks to make purchases in the amount of $1,062.
