Anna Krasts
Anna "Sandra" Krasts of Saratoga, 83, died Feb. 4.
Krasts, her husband Alfs and their son Maris emigrated from Latvia in 1950. They eventually settled in Saratoga, where Krasts, a fashion designer, started her own clothing line. Through the years she owned several design studios and retail storefronts in Saratoga.
In 1990, the couple retired to Rancho Murieta, where Krasts continued her love of fashion by designing wedding gowns for a small group of clients.
In May of 1999, Krasts suffered a stroke as a result of heart surgery.
Krasts is survived by her sons, Maris A. Krasts and Alfs C. Krasts; her daughter-in-law, Barbara L. Krasts; and her grandchildren, Courtney, Brittney, Jesika and Andrew Krasts.
Donations in remembrance of Krasts may be made to St. Andrews Church in Saratoga.
Louise Richiuso
Louise Richiuso of Saratoga, 61, died Feb. 12 after along battle with cancer.
Richiuso was born in New York City. She moved to Saratoga in 1971, where she lived the rest of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dominick Richiuso; her son, Leonard Richiuso; her daughter, Michele Richiuso; her daughter-in-law, Shannon Richiuso; her brother, Edward Verdecanna; her sister, Susan Cerami; and her grandchildren, Dominick and Massimo Richiuso.
Services have been held. Memorial contributions may be sent in her memory to the Make A Wish Foundation, 235 Pine St., 6th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94104.
