Saratoga should close
campus for safety

I find it a little odd that there is such concern for the safety and well being of the students when it comes to allowing adults (who are willing to have background checks and be fingerprinted) on campus, but on the same lunch break, these same students are free to leave campus and drive (all too often as quickly as they can in the limited time available) anywhere off campus to get lunch or whatever.

Do these students somehow miraculously become immune from adult dangers when they get in their cars and drive off campus, and then lose that ability when on campus?

Isn't the school still liable for the safety of these students while they are off campus during lunch?

If the board truly believes the only way to have a safe campus is to have a closed campus, then I respectively suggest to the board that they close the campus, and keep the students on campus during lunch. And it would have the added benefit of certainly making it safer for the adults who live around the school who might want to walk in the neighborhood during the lunch hour.
