After spending years in the hushed and solitary pursuit of a Ph.D. in British history, Deborah Rossum now spends her days surrounded by a lot of barking. She is the owner and founder of Dog Day Afternoon of California, a canine day-care center in Sunnyvale. Rossum now adds her name to the growing list of dog daycare in the Bay Area as the industry is perched on the cusp of exploding.
