Olson's holds annual fair

Olson's Cherries will hold its fifth annual Food and Craft faire Nov. 15.

The fair will feature holiday food and crafts, dried and fresh fruits, gift packs and baked goods. Olson's is offering free tasting of their new products and their fresh bing cherries from Chile.

Disaster program stationed at Moffett Field

The federal government has agreed to participate in the Western Disaster Program, which will be located at Moffett Federal Airfield and will receive technological support from Onizuka Air Station. The center will provide regional support for the prevention, preparation, response and recovery of an environmental or natural disaster.

Onizuka will also assist the U.S. Geological Survey by providing technological support during natural disasters.

Business license renewal Jan. 1

Sunnyvale business licenses must be renewed by Jan. 1. Business licenses are required for every rental property and business based in Sunnyvale. The annual cost for a licenses ranges from $10 for a business with five or fewer employees to $300 for businesses with more than 135 employees. Penalties for late payments will begin Jan. 31.
