The De Anza Community College men's and women's soccer teams nailed matching 2-0 victories in Coast Conference play last week.

The Lady Dons blanked Las Positas 2-0 on goals by Michelle Kandah and Jill Fallicciardi. Jodie Walters and Jaclyn Schunk chipped in with assists for De Anza.

The Dons improved to 16-1-1 in conference play and to 18-1-1 for the year with the win.

The De Anza men turned back Skyline 2-0 to push their conference record to 18-1-1. Joel Madrigal and Keith Walker scored goals for the Dons in the win.

Dons lose

A first-half touchdown wasn't enough to keep the De Anza Community College football team from losing a tough 10-6 decision to Monterey Peninsula College last weekend.

The loss left the Dons 0-3 in the Coast Conference and 2-7 for the year. De Anza had lost 43-9 to West Valley Community College a week earlier.
