    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Possession of controlled substance-Nov. 4, 1:04 a.m., Intersection of Kifer and Lawrence. Officer saw a black Acura southbound on Lawrence Expressway near the Kifer intersection and initiated a traffic stop. Search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia. A search of the passenger revealed three grams of cocaine. Both the driver and passenger were arrested.

    Commercial Burglary - Nov. 4, 6:40 p.m., 1000 block of E. Arques Avenue. The suspect entered the store and purchased a portable CD player. He left the store and returned a short time later. He then went and picked up an identical CD player he had purchased and walked out the front door with the receipt in hand. Loss prevention staff apprehended him, and the property was recovered. The suspect went to jail for burglary.

    False Information - Nov. 11, 12:51 a.m., intersection of Evelyn and Fair Oaks roads. The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a fight at the intersection. Two subjects were later identified. One lied about his identity and was drunk. He was unable to care for himself. His mother identified him.

    Burglary, Auto Force - Nov.11, 9:34 a.m., 500 block of E. Maude Avenue. Victim stated that sometime between 6 p.m. on Nov. 10 and 9 a.m. Nov. 11, an unknown suspect forced entry into her vehicle and stole her car stereo.
