    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Commercial Grand Theft--Nov. 16, 1:30 p.m., 100 block N. Lawrence Station Road. Suspect entered store and removed a computer from the display. She concealed the computer in a plastic bag and later in her purse. Suspect purchased other items at a cash register but didn't pay for the concealed computer. Suspect was stopped at the threshold of the exit door.

    Residential Burglary--Nov. 15, 7:27 a.m., 300 block S. Fernwood Circle. Three suspects entered the house using a ruse and took $1,585 worth of American and Mexican gold coins. No force was used. Suspects are at large. The resident was home and permitted suspects to enter.

    Petty Theft--Nov. 14, 1:25 p.m., 1000 block E. Arques Avenue. Suspect entered an electronics store and concealed a DVD movie in pants pocket and exited the store without paying. The $29.99 movie was recovered.

    Auto Burglary--Nov. 14, 7 a.m., 900 block El Camino Real. Suspect entered vehicle and stole several personal items, including jumper cables, speakers, cassette/radio and CB radio totaling $270. A screwdriver was found inside the vehicle that appears to have been used by suspect.

    Fraud--Nov. 13, 6:26 p.m., 100 block S. Sunnyvale Avenue. Victim's credit card was stolen and fraudulently used. Victim gave his credit card to a clerk at a hotel, and the clerk didn't return the card to him. Victim's credit card company informed him that $227.46 of several purchases had been made after the card was stolen. Suspect(s) are still at large.

    Commercial Burglary--Nov. 13, 5:06 p.m., 900 block E. Arques Avenue. Unknown suspect entered auto parts store when it was closed and broke into an unlocked vehicle parked inside the business. Suspect took $720 worth of small power tools as well as the vehicle's stereo.
