Police suspect driver of attempted murder

Sunnyvale Public Safety Officers responded to a major injury accident Nov. 29 at 325 E. Maude after a driver allegedly intentionally ran his car into a man and woman who were sitting on a planter.

The man escaped injury but the woman suffered chest, head and leg injuries and was taken to Stanford Medical Center in stable condition. The case is still under investigation.

The investigator could not be reached for comment on the case.
