Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Vehicle theft--Oct. 7, 7:20 p.m., 100 block of E. El Camino Real. A man said his 1993 four-door blue Honda Civic was stolen from the parking lot outside a club around 1 a.m.

Theft--Oct. 7, 6:06 p.m., 100 block of Lawrence Station. A woman's cream-colored purse was stolen from her cart as she shopped at a wholesaler.

Theft--Oct. 7, 5 p.m., 400 block of Morse Avenue. A laptop computer and other items were stolen from a man's unlocked vehicle the night before.

Found property--Oct. 6, 10:15 p.m., 600 block of E. Weddell Drive. A woman's car was stolen and found in San Jose on Wednesday. She was looking through the trunk after she got the car back and found several credit cards and IDs that did not belong to her.

Suspicious circumstances--Oct. 6, 2:26 p.m., 900 block of E. El Camino Real. A man had a truck returned to his business that was showing license plates that been reported lost or stolen.

Wellness Check--Oct. 5, 5:54 p.m., 700 block of Lakemuir Drive. San Jose police were notified after two men wandered into a local hospital with burns. They said there had been an explosion, but did not say where it had been. They did say, however, they had been in Sunnyvale.

Lost property--Oct. 4, 11 a.m., N. Fair Oaks Avenue. A man left his wallet in a bathroom and when he returned it was gone.
