Town Center Update
The Sun periodically provides updates on the $400 million Town Center redevelopment project headed by Sand Hill Property Co.
*Recent rains have slowed the pace of construction.
*Construction of parking garages in the two westerly blocks of the development continues to be a priority. Works has moved to the third level.
*Work continues on retail spaces along McKinley and Washington avenues and Taaffe Street.
*Sound mitigation is being constructed for the second soil vapor extraction unit. Both units are now operating. However, the northerly unit is in use only during the day.
