Council member did not show any respect

I am concerned about why San Jose council member John Diquisto needed to spend so much time thanking the developer and others who helped go against the wishes of the majority of the people in his district when the rezoning of the Hacienda Gardens Shopping Center was passed during the Nov. 19 city council meeting. John Diquisto never found it necessary to attend the community meetings on the Hacienda Gardens Shopping Center.

San Jose council member Ken Yeager was also present and thanked the developer for showing him the site.

I was also shocked to see John Diquisto—immediately after the vote on the issue and while another matter was being presented to the council—go out a side door and again thank the developer. His leaving was disrespectful to the parties associated with the item being presented to the council.

Clarification

In the Dec. 4 issue of The Willow Glen Resident, the cover story "Sweet Retreats" inadvertently omitted Johnson's Wellness Spa, 1345 Lincoln Ave., in the listing of spas on Lincoln Avenue.
