The story of the dog poisoning ("Dog poisoned by unknown person; anti-freeze put in food," April 27) on Iris Court and the numerous threats made to other people in that area really devastated me.

I can't imagine how anyone could be so low, but it seems that they are out there. I can somewhat imagine how the owner feels as I recently lost my own dog, even though it was to natural causes.

Muggs gave me more than 15 years of unconditional love, and who could ask for more? Jackson looked like a really neat little doggie, about the size of Muggs. My final word is this: Whoever did this is mentally ill, a true menace to the entire community, and, when caught, should be put away for a long, long time.
