Thank you for covering the story of my granddaughter Mallory Stein in the Willow Glen Resident ("By Example," June 8) with compassion. The last 12 months has been very, very difficult for our family with the court case and sentencing, as well as, my daughter Judy's death.

Mallory has always been so special to all of our family and now you have shared her determination, strength and the will she has to overcome and move forward with her life.

By sharing her story, it is our hope that others will have the strength to come forward and put their abusers in federal prison as Mallory has done. Thank you.
