Option for dog park: Use railroad easement

With all the hubbub about a dog park, has anyone considered using the now defunct railroad easement as a dog park?

It is already fenced on two sides and is a great natural area for dogs to run around. No other group is using it at this time, so it should not cause "not in my back yard" issues. A crushed granite path for owners, fences at each end, and it is done. Dogs don't need a fancy landscaped area. Either side of the Minnesota crossing would be great.

It might even be possible to work out some parking arrangement with the Syrian church for the use of its parking lot annex, another cost savings. Just a few thoughts.
