Willow Glen woman chosen to head SJ school board

The San Jose Unified School District Board of Education has elected Pam Foley as president.

A Willow Glen resident since 1990, Foley was elected trustee in Area 3 in 2004.

Foley and the board are planning to host town hall meetings in March for community input on shaping the district's goals and objectives.

Foley is active at Willow Glen Middle School, where her daughter Katelin is a student and she is a member of the Willow Glen Middle & High School Foundation.

Additionally, Foley is active with San Jose Rotary and has served as director and chairwoman of Women and Their Children Housing, which provides transitional housing for victims of domestic abuse and their children.

Foley and her husband Mike are owners of E.F. Foley & Co., a mortgage financing firm based in Campbell. She is president and CEO of the firm and has been active with local and state real estate groups.
