Warriors win

Westmont's golf team defeated Santa Teresa 261-270 at Eagle Ridge on March 17 with Matt Williams shooting even par 36 for the Warriors. The win increases Westmont's record to 2-0. Westmont will face Leland on March 31.

Golf tourney

The 23rd annual Presentation Golf Tournament will be held May 9 at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club. The day begins with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and tee-off at 12:30 p.m. The $225 registration fee includes green fees, a cart, tee prizes, lunch, course refreshments and an awards dinner.

BVAL tourney

The third annual Blossom Valley Athletic League golf tournament, a benefit for the 22 schools in the league, will be held on April 28 at the Almaden Golf and Country Club. The 144-player field will tee off in a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, and a 6 p.m. awards dinner will follow the tourney.

Former San Francisco 49ers great Brent Jones, a graduate of Leland High School, is the honorary chairman of the tournament.

Umps needed

The Santa Clara Valley Federation of Umpires is looking for baseball umpires, experienced or not, to work the 2008 summer baseball season that includes Pony, Colt, Palomino, American Legion and Oldtimers games. Training will be provided. For more information, visit www.scvfu.com.
