Bay Area Vintage Base Ball is looking for players ages 18-50 to play in a unique men's hardball league. Playing by the rules of 1886, there are five Bay Area teams in need of players. Stick Starz, a field hockey program for boys and girls ages 8-11 sponsored by the U.S. Field Hockey Association, will hold practices on Saturdays on March 8, 15, 22 and 29 and April 5, 12, 19 and 26, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at Presentation High School.

Senior showcase

The Blossom Valley Athletic League will hold its fourth annual Senior Soccer Showcase on Feb. 29 at Piedmont Hills High School. Top senior girls will take the field at 5:30 p.m. with the senior boys scheduled to play at 7:30 p.m.
