City begins
webcasting
of meetings

The city of Sunnyvale was scheduled this week to begin webcasting of city council and planning commission meetings.

The Internet webcast of the June 3 council meeting can be viewed at Webscast.inSunnyvale.com. The first planning commission meeting webcast is June 9.

The city's webcasting service willprovide the archiving of meetings, allowing viewers to call up a specific meeting and then use the "Jump To'' command to go to a specific point in the meeting.

Some summer
rec classes
still open

Residents can still register online for summer classes and camps with the Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation Department.

Classes are offered for adults, teens and children.

Library to
display
local paintings

More than 80 paintings from Sunnyvale artists will be on display at the Sunnyvale Public Library, 665 W. Olive Ave., from noon to 6 p.m. on June 7 and 8.

The exhibition features pieces by members of the Sunnyvale Art Club, and is titled "Gold Brush Days."
